About the Course
All five programs will be of 4 years duration with an intake of 60 students each
and will follow a semester pattern (8 semesters in total). The first year focuses
on Basic Science, thereafter the core topics relating to the chosen field will be
emphasized on. In the final semester, a project is to be duly submitted.

Computer Science and Engineering
|
|
It is an exciting discipline that integrates several fields of Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science. The study focuses on the development of whole computer systems
and goes well beyond software development. Computer engineers are trained in Electronic
Engineering, Software Design and hardware-software integration. They are also involved
in the design of individual microprocessors, supercomputers and circuit design.
This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work,
but also how they are integrated into the larger picture. In addition to writing
software, students are also involved in firmware for embedded micro controllers,
designing VLSI chips, designing analog sensors, designing mixed signal circuit boards,
designing operating systems and robotics research. This research relies heavily
on using digital systems to control and monitor electrical systems such as motors,
communications and sensors.

Information Technology
|
|
The program focuses on the use of computers and software to manage information &
data storage and is sometimes referred to as Management Information System (MIS).Studies
in IT, enable students to acquire skills in the areas of Computer Networking, Information
Security, Business Intelligence, Linux, Project Management, Cloud Computing etc.
The job outlook for those within Information Technology is strong, with data security
and server gurus amongst the highest paid “techies”.

Electronics and Communication Engineering
|
|
It is an interesting discipline which is high in demand. The interesting importance
of power, instrumentation, semi conductor circuit design, technology control etc.
is enough proof of the importance of the electronics in the modern world. The discipline
uses scientific knowledge of the behaviour of electrons to develop components, devices,
systems or equipment, as in electron tubes, transistors, integrated circuits, and
printed circuit boards (PCB’s) that use electricity as part of the driving force.

Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
|
|
This study acts as an interface between Electronics Engineering and Instrumentation
and deals with the design of devices which control processes typically referred
to as embedded systems. The design of such instrumentation requires a solid understanding
of Physics that often extends beyond electromagnetic theory. Often instrumentation
is not used by itself, but instead as the sensor function of larger electrical systems.
For this reason, instrumentation engineering is frequently referred as the counterpart
to control engineering.

Electrical Engineering
|
|
It is impossible to imagine the modern world without electricity without which there
is no real development or ongoing modernization. Electrical Engineering focuses
on the generation, control, saving and application of electricity. This is a combination
of electronics and electromagnetism in terms of study & research and it deals with
control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.
