Visit of Deputy High Commissioner of Singapore at JRE Campus

On the 7th of December Mr. Jonathan Tow, Deputy High Commissioner of Singapore in New Delhi, Mr. Benjamin Yap   Regional Director, South Asia Group, Ms. Tan Zhi Xian   Centre Director, South Asia Group, Mr. Chaitanya Arora, Partner, “Accuracy” visited the JRE Group of Institutions campus.  The welcome took place at the President’s Office where the guests were given a brief outline of the courses offered, the educational technologies used and an insight into education at JRE. The guests completed a campus tour that included the Academic Block, Hostel, Library, sporting facilities and school ‘farm’, and they were able to interact with the staff & students along the way. Ms Madhu Bhatt, Chief Librarian outlined the library facilities and Mr. K. Lal, Head of IT organized an excellent demonstration by Mr. T. Prasanth (IT support) of the smart board technology used across JRE. The visitors were highly impressed with the infrastructure and approach to education, and particularly enjoyed visiting to the farming area where JRE students grow vegetables. As a token of gratitude the students gifted the guests with ‘home grown’ cabbages and coriander, both of which were joyfully received and described humorously as the most unusual gifts they had ever accepted on such a visit.

image (37)Mr. Mike Yam, Executive Director, EducompRaffles, Prof. Stephen Rawlinson Academic President-JRE, Dr. Krishna Rao, Director and Dean-SOE, Prof. M. Gandhi, Senior Advisor to JRE, Dr. Vishal Talwar, Dean-SOM and Mrs. Anne Chung, College Director-RMI had an extensive chat with the guests over refreshments about future opportunities and collaborations. Many thanks go to Mr. Narpat Singh, Mr. Manu Aggrawal, Capt. Sunil Sharma and Mr. K. Lal for their active support in successfully managing this visit. A special vote of thanks also goes to Mr. Maheep Bubber, PGDM  student for his extraordinary and gifted       photography. He captured beautiful                                                                                moments with the guests that are very                                                                       much appreciated.
