Spread Smiles This Diwali

Jaitpur, Greater Noida, October 31, 2013: Diwali brings happiness and prosperity with it. The element of good fortune as well as joy all over is the message it spreads. This is a day when all the enemies of mankind—illiteracy, poverty and suppression—are to be defeated. Educomp Foundation and JRE Group of Institutions, as a part of its social responsibility, have taken up the cause of Jaitpur village in Greater Noida. EF- JRE social initiative ‘Spread Smiles this Diwali’ aimed at bringing joy in the lives of thousands of children of the village living a mundane and deprived life. The focus was to associate and involve the college going youth for inclusive development of the rural India.

An internationally renowned educationist, Prof. Savya Sachi, who is an integral part of JRE Group of Institutions, a fast growing institute for technical and professional education in India, is an expert in identifying training needs and formulating modules of training. He is entrusted with devising an elementary module of English and Computers for the children of Jaitpur. He will train the graduate and post-graduate students of JRE to carry out the education process. He interacted with teachers and students of the Jaitpur Primary School to understand their needs.

 

On this occasion, Prof. Savya Sachi said that even a single life is benefitted with these efforts it was worth spending time for such noble cause. Mr. Manu Aggarwal, Prof. Sachin Batra and Dr. Sushi Singh, coordinators of the initiative, and student volunteers of JRE expressed their satisfaction over the development in those children from the time it was incepted and said that they were overwhelmed by the love and affection that those children and their parents had bestowed upon them. There was a painting competition held at the school where prizes were distributed among the winners. Students of JRE Group of Institutions, then, distributed sweets and edibles among the school children who were very happy and excited. In the end crackers were distributed and lit among them. The joy on their face was very much visible and said it all. The Gram Pradhan, Mr. Pramod Kumar, and the School Principal, Mr. Mahendra Pal, extended their full support and help the team through out in carrying of this event.
