The IIM Ahmedabad Workshop

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions”

The two day experience at IIM Ahmedabad has energized us, and has changed our myopic attitude towards learning. The insights gained from the workshop were stimulating and useful in enhancing our understanding of today’s corporate environment.

The Workshop included the following presentations:

1. Nielsen India: provided insights into consumer behavior and segmentation to support meeting the needs of people at right time and right place. The session also emphasized the importance of managing “Big Data” for industry;

2. Cause Marketing: highlighted the concept of “Business of Business is Business”

3. Lowe Lintas: focused on the important aspects of advertising and how to engage people with a brand;

4.Social Media Campaign: provided insights into how companies are using social media to engage with customers.

The experience and knowledge gained from this workshop were excellent in building a platform for further learning, and for promoting personal responsibility for this. The whole event encouraged us to make every effort to consolidate our ideas in a precise manner reflecting on the statement: “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand enough”.
